The Data Context Trap

Data analytics typically does a few things:

  • describes existing or past phenomena
  • predicts future events based on past data
  • prescribes a course of action

Most dashboards, though, only cover the first — describing what has happened.( HBR 13th Jan 2017)

Thyatbis why embedding analytics in enterprise and public organisation apps makes such a difference. The analytics are then in the absolute context of the key tasks and activities avery user is working at.

There are two key means to deploy embedded analytics.

  1. License embedded analytics such as Logi Info
  2. Deploy digital platforms such as 360Globalnet

You will then enjoy the magic of practical dashboards and "in-context analytics" purpose built for your business and organisation.-

But dashboards aren’t the magic view some managers treat them as. Although they can convey snapshots of important measures, dashboards are poor at providing the nuance and context that effective data-driven decision making demands.
